The NSU Cabinet has approved implementation of a 4 ½ day work schedule effective July 12, 2010 and will remain in effect until further notice.

The basic work schedule will be from 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Friday with employees granted flexibility with the approval of their supervisors and the appropriate vice-president.

All full-time employees will work the required 40 hours per week except when on leave.  On weeks where there is a state holiday, the University will revert to 8 hour days.  Office hours will be from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon on Friday so that offices may serve students, parents and the general public.

Offices with essential services such as University Police and power plant, will maintain their current work schedules.
