The BPCC Foundation will sponsor the 2nd annual BPCC 100 mini-NASCAR race on the Bossier Parish Community College campus Friday and Saturday, October 8 and 9. This annual event raises money to help support the student scholarship fund at BPCC.

This year, 19 team cars will participate in the event. For two days, mini-NASCAR type cars zip around a race track as they compete for prizes in various categories: Best Looking Car, Fastest Pit Crew, Fastest Car, Best Dressed Pit Crew. In addition to the car races, there are multiple food vendors and a children’s play area—Kids Pit Stop. The event is free to the whole family.

Chairing the race this year is Ray Tromba, Property Manager of Louisiana Boardwalk and President of the BPCC Foundation Executive Committee; Honorary chair is former Representative Billy Wayne Montgomery. Chancellor Jim Henderson will serve as the official host for the event.
