Louisiana Boardwalk will go on sale April 13 at a Bossier sheriff’s office tax foreclosure sale.

The sale starts at 10 a.m. on the first floor of the Bossier Parish courhouse in Benton, according to Erin Habich, assistant public information officer for the sheriff’s office.

Habich said the sheriff’s office has not yet received new appraisal figures from O&S Holdings, the developer of the outdoor shopping center, and the trustee for the mortgage lender.

But the sale’s opening bid will start at two-thirds of the average of the two with the Boardwalk going to the highest bidder.

The new owner will have until 2 p.m. on day of the sale to pay.

The lender of the Louisiana Boardwalk loan foreclosed on the shopping center’s loan in February following late payments.

It is now under the management of of Alabama-based Bayer Properties.
